This year, the Tampa Bay area has seen an incredible expansion of new and exciting dining choices and food trends that truly can’t be missed. Our Virage neighbors in Hyde Park Village present an assortment of dining options from upscale to casual that bring the best of Tampa flavors to our own backyard. Here are some of our favorites:
bartaco
Small plates take on a big personality at bartaco, with a rustic, open-air setting that welcomes diners to savor the food as well as the relaxing environment. Here street food goes upscale, with cuisine rooted in Mexican tradition, complemented by spicy flavors from Asia, the Mediterranean and beyond.
Goody Goody Burgers
Tampa’s Gonzmart Family chose Hyde Park as the location to resurrect their iconic burger joint, that was located on Florida Avenue in Tampa for nearly 80 years. The new location recreates the flavors of the nostalgic restaurant, with some new flavors for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Wine Exchange
Since 1990, The Wine Exchange has been a Tampa staple, featuring wines from around the globe, served in the style of a European street-side café. Over 40 wines by the glass, creative martinis and a fully-stocked bar complement a menu of fresh favorites.
On Swann
An eclectic space with a collection of New American dishes with influences from New Orleans and the West Coast, On Swann brings an upscale dining experience to Hyde Park in a laid-back atmosphere. Thoughtfully sourced ingredients from their fresh sourdough bread to unique seasonal features offer worldly flavors with a local flair.
Timpano Italian Chophouse
Timpano revives the big city dining experience with steaks and chops paired with full-bodied wines and cocktails. White tablecloth service pairs with a soundtrack of lively gatherings, live music and Frank Sinatra tunes in the background.
